    Posted: 09/09/2012 at 5:17pm
I'm interested in ordering a custom made DHS pf4 08 or 032 blade clone. I'm curious about the exact composition of these blades. I read in some translated topic from a chinese forum, that they're made from cheap ply wood(I think Bass wood and maple wood). Can anybody help me out?

The new/anniversary 08/032 has nothing to do with the old version, old 08 is 7ply basswood, 032 is 5ply 3 basswood and 2 lauan.

please elaborate ATV? Is it the same thing with old stiga oc and new stiga oc? Is the construction of the newer models different? What kind of wood is lauan? How come the anniversary version has nothing to do with the old one?

I have the 08 anniversary in. It is 7 ply basswood. Plays much better than the new 08 but the old 08/032 from the 70's are better.

i have the 08 anniv special and yes its 7 ply basswood. i have also tried the 08 national version blades from the 80's and its better than the 08 anniv special blade which is already a very good blade

It's easy to clone 08 but it is impossible to achieve the quality of the old blades. No wonder the price of old 08 in China reaches 2000 yuan.
