Does anyone know what the differences are between the Stiga Clipper, Nittaku Barwell, and DHS Ma Long 506?  The construction for all three all show two layers of dyed koto layers.  Are they all the same?

Anyone who can provide some insights and information on these three blades are greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don't have the answer but I think we should also consider adding Nittaku Adelie in the list as well.

Barwell has a walnut toplayer, like Yasaka Extra Special.
The two dyed layers are Ayous.
Adelie is nice but slower than expected.

Only the blades. Pg2 and PG3 are clear Koto. As for 7 and 8, the fladder is not very clear, rough lamina. It it was as shiny as on Clipper or Korbel, I would never part with PG7. Long 2 is a better limba, Long 3 however is again Koto.

In short, better find your Clipper than looking for some expensive replica or duplica of Clipper.

Barwell is harder than Clipper CR, but it's slower. Clipper has more vibration, more rough feel. Barwell has smoother feel.
I haven't tried 506, but already tried PG7, it's slower than Clipper CR, about the same as Barwell, and the feel is worse than Barwell and Clipper.
