has anybody tried of these? The blade reminds me a bit of the DHS PF4 032 blade by it looks.

Very solid blade. Stiff and hard. Good for pips.

Oh man! I bought one of those from a bookstore in Chinatown 19 years ago. I still have it in my desk drawer. Yes, lacquered, stiff, and crisp. The handle is quite thin though.

Interesting rubbers that came with it. Very large pips.

I've got one.  They've been selling them for 10+ years.  Both sides red.

Hard, fast blade.  Rubber plays decently.

That was my very very first paddle when i was still playing tt for fun.  The paddle is quite heavy, adds good spin, and the rubbers never seem to die even after many years lol.  And yes, Chinatown sells it for about $3-$5.  I played with that paddle back in middle school, and pretty much everyone who play at my elementary school club all use the same paddle.

Sorry for bumping up this old topic. But I am int still intrigued by this paddle so I went ahead and ordered one. I'm hoping that it's similar to the classic PF4 032/08 given the construction and looks it should right?

It might play similarly if you put good rubber on it.  The rubber is not too stick but the sponge is soft and bouncy.  Both sides red.

The blade is hard and fast.

I brought over a couple of them from Hong Kong in 1966 with pips.  Don't remember how they played.

Hi all! I'm also interested in this paddle, as I recently had the occasion to play with one and was very pleasantly impressed. I found it pretty fast, but incredible safe and "forgiving", both in close to the table driving/blocking and in mid-distance looping (the strokes that I mostly use).
Since these days I'm looking for a replacement to my faithful Palio 2-star (a very good premade for beginners, that I played the last 2 years) and I have not the possibility to test too much equipment, but I liked enough this Meteor paddle, I would consider it as a "benchmark" to guide me through all those numbers that indicate the speed, the control, the hardness, the spin, etc (as on tabletennisdb.com) and to help me find the right "combo".
So, could anybody here give some (approximate) "numbers" for this blade (and, if possible, for the rubber)?
