Xiom is a great brand..I've used only one of their rubbers in the past..
but boy do they pump out a lot of different product lines. Makes it sort of difficult to follow and makes you wonder how can a company release so many different products so fast with improvements? In the last year or so Vega China Tau Vega Japan now Omega V? I think Sigma 2 was also released? Not to mention their line of blades!

Too many, too soon, and not much information about any of them in my opinion. Sigma I was maybe 1 years old and in came Sigma II etc People haven't even got use to Sigma I and now there is II. Tenergy has been around for so long So not sure whichis good and what is not really good |

Looks to me like they did not do alot of research. They just come up with an idea for the new product, produce it, and let the comsumers test and sort it out .

I haven't tried half of them but judgeing from reviews many of there names doent seem to make mutch sense.
Vega China is very different from anything in the Vega line. Calling it China makes sense becouse its a China style rubber like Tau but Tau got no china in the name. Its just Tau. Why not call them Tau 1 and Tau 2. Or Vega China and XXXX China? Vega Japan is very different from other Vegas. Its mutch faster and more modern. Sigma 2 is very different from sigma 1. Mutch larger spores in sponge.

Just checked the LARC and Omega V is there. Plus, I see a bunch of MUV° *spin rubbers there - all of them are "China made". I am curious what are they - just another emanation of Haifu Whale/Shark or something else?

There were supposed to be two versions of Vega China, who wants to bet they changed the name of the second harder version to Tau

there is a logic, although I agree it's confusing: - sigma series: rubbers mostly for pushblockers, not ideal for looping (not bad either). The only piece that does not really fit is Vega China. Edited by seguso - 11/29/2013 at 10:07am |

Not sure how Sigma is for pushblockers. Both myself and the sponsored SA national player is using Xiom Sigma II Europe on both sides. we are both not push blockers |

Omega V Pro is softer (sponge (just finger feelings)) comparing to Omega 4 Pro. Omega V Pro is also lighter - not cut rubber 68 gr against 70 of Omega IV Pro (both max).

I don't know sigma II but I assume it's similar to sigma I.
I know loopers who used sigma I. I too am a looper and used it on bh. I don't say it's bad for looping. Only it's not ideal. Too low throw and straight arc. We eventually switched to M1/M2/m3. At least on fh, sigma is mostly aimed at people who push, block, and loop only to kill. On bh it makes more sense for a looper, but is a bit hard. Edited by seguso - 04/26/2013 at 9:29am |

What about the "Tour" version? Softer or harder sponge than Pro?

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

My feeling about the Sigma II Pro and Euro I used is like Omega speed with Vega Spin. S2 Pro is so fast and S2 Euro is currently perfect for me, so easy to use. Either way, I only had 2 sessions with S2 Euro and 3 with S2 Pro I also tested O4 Elite - too soft so has good control, but too slow - had to hit very hard to touch the white line. I also test Vega Asia and Europe - very good for lower level player as you said spin is good and not the fastest - thus easy to control |

Sigma I Euro is one of the best BH rubbers out there for a variable offensive player (mix of drives, loops, blocks). Great for service return as well. I agree that the arc is low, so doesn't suit pure FH looping. I still like Vega Pro on the FH side. Does this make me weird? |

I would like to ask which Xiom rubber you guys believe to be the best for a J-pen attacker.

Really liked the sigma I pro. Fits both the forehand and the backhand strokes really well. and from what ive heard sigma II pro is almost the same with just a little easier to access spin. so it would probably be very good.

Omega V Pro
is softer and slightly slower than Omega IV Pro. Our active attacking players preferred
Omega IV Pro for their forehand. Omega V Tour is advanced high density rubber, which
is more powerful than Omega V Pro. Omega V Tour feels to be good option for professional
players with lots of spin and speed at the same time. Now we understand that we
need to compare Omega V Tour with Sigma II rubbers. |
