I doubt about it. Not because RL but the blade is not just the quality wood. You have more than 80 % chance to say something to get something different. And 90 % to say also something to spend more money trying to finally get something better. Nice video and review. I believe it. For me it is easy to think about the hl3 as a better feeling pg7 having the features mentioned in the video. Just that at pro level composite performance pays off even trading some feeling. For sure a hl3 must be a nice blade to have. Just the poor brother pg7 is. Edited by ejmaster - 08/24/2013 at 5:18pm |

I haven't tried the commercial, but the blade special blade made for Ma Long indeed it's very good.
DHS produce 20 pcs for Ma Long to pick 2-3 blades per batch, the rest is sold at decent price. |

I dont understand this blade ejmaster and peter79 , it plays like carbon composite has a large sweet spot that usually wood dont have. If this can be done with wood why noone else did it before like famous butterfly nittaku and even stiga blades. What is the secret to have an all wood blade has a such large sweet spot ?!?

The blade has a large sweet spot being an all wood blade. But one can not expect this means as a composite. In fact ma long went to a composite himself. |

Brian doesn't realize that OFF++ in the DHS system is the same as OFF in the Butterfly system.

I've been using this blade for a short while now, and it plays great. I agree with the large sweet spot, and I find it a lot easier to control over the Timo Boll ALC and Interforce ZLC.
The downside really is the price. I might try clipper in the future to see how it compares since it's supposedly very good and much cheaper.

Hey everyone! We too recently published a review of the Long 3 and Long 5. Our reviewer Patrick drew a lot of comparisons between the DHS Power G7, the Nittaku Ma Long Seven, and the Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition, all of which are also 7-ply blades. You can read our review here.
