How is this blade different from Rosewood VII?
Another marketing moniker from Stiga.

You mean you cant differentiate between walnut and rosewood. And brown limba?
You are funny, lol.... LOL

You're saying Stiga doesn't know what kind of wood they are using to manufacture their blades.
You really gonna start making assumptions like that based on a picture with no close ups, clearly you have never bought or seen a stiga rosewood blade in person before Clap

Looks pretty in the pictures but like all Stiga blades, build quality when you get one is absolute shit but with excellent playing.

Pongz

1) The grain pattern and reddish brown colour of the outer plies of the CRW7; is definitely that of Rosewood.

It's the same grain pattern and colour as that of the outer plies of the Rosewood VII.

2) Walnut has a different grain pattern and a duller brown colour, compared to Rosewood and it's also a softer wood too.

A good example is the outer plies of my Ross Leidy YEO plus.

3) Black Limba likewise has a different grain pattern and colour, compared to Rosewood; as well.

A good example is the outer plies of an OSP Expert.

4) The blade designation of CRW VII also highlights that it's a 7 ply blade based on the Clipper Wood; but with Rosewood outer plies, instead of Limba outer plies.

Reviving this thread because I have tried the CRW 7.  It is beastly fast.

Stiga succeeded in blending the clipper and the rosewood blades because it seems to have the power of and feel of rosewood with the control and stiffness of a clipper.

Speed was the first thing I noticed in that the blade was incredibly fast, even with the new ball.  Even brush loops traveled at high speeds, and countering at the table was a breeze with just an arm movement.

Blocks and punches with CRW7 rivaled carbon/composite blades in consistency, which leads me to believe the sweet spot is very large on the blade.  It never felt like the blade catapulted anything off the table by accident.

Serves and touch with the blade were surprisingly easy as well perhaps because it feels stiffer than regular rosewood and harder than clipper.  Serves and dropshots could be kept short without problem, and flips worked out fine (especially flatter ones).

I imported one for myself but have listed it in my for sale thread if anyone wants to try it.  Despite how fun it was to play I believe its speed is above what I can control at my level.

Ohhh it is really nice blade.I would started thinking of taking it from you (despite that i am a shakehand player, but just for my collection), but you shouldn't grind the spots near the handle. Cry
