Am I the only player that looks at the ball marks as "grouping" on their bat rubbers after a training session?

My BH looping "grouping" looked really together (to me) just off centre to the top of the bat.

My FH loop "grouping" was not so good (to me) with a bias towards the bottom of my bat.

Does anybody else do this...?

Thanks!

Nice to know I'm not crazy.

How far can this analysis go..?

Are there any other unorthodox self analysis methods that players can share .. ?

I like the idea of honing serves with this method. Hit a few dozen serves as you work to develop variation and note where you're striking the paddle.

As far as you'll take it. Clean the bat after each different exercise or even each ball. See if you're able to get the areas correctly without thinking about it(pure muscle memory and execution). Then move onto trying to fix it with corrections technique-wise or even timing-wise.

I know for one thing that after OCD'ing this I managed to play my best looping games vs my chopper-coach ever. I've never brushed this good before, but I don't really know if I can put that all on the group-ocd.
