    Posted: 02/23/2014 at 4:11pm
I'm searching for a blade with the following composition:

limba-limba-ayous-limba-limba

There are a few that i know of, although I'm surprised there aren't more. We have: Primorac, Korbel, Adolscen, Waldner Senso, Appelgren Allplay. None of these seem to fit the bill: I'd like my blade to be not too head-heavy, and to have a larger handle. I'd like it to be Off-.

Any suggestions, folks?

Aren't you talking about the Tibhar Stratus Power Wood?

Thanks, although it sounds head-heavy with a head-size of 158 x 151. I'd like something with a relatively compact head, and certainly no bigger than 157 x 150. It's also probably a bit heavier than I'd like (it seems to come in at around 90g).

Butterfly Zhang Yining is a discontinued blade and it doesn't have a very thick handle (makes sense, I suppose, as it was named after a female player).

I suggest you try to find yourself a nice Stiga Alsér Allround Wood from the 80s... that will have that composition, a smaller head-size, and a beefy flared handle.

Otherwise, you could have the fine folks at OSP make you one to your desired specs.

Here you will find some blades: http://tabletennisonline.org/blades/blade-composition-list/
limba-limba-ayous-limba-limba is one of the most common composition.

Well known blades with this composition are:
- Butterfly Primorac
- Butterfly Petr Korbel or
- the wonderful old Stiga AR Wood.

Yes, I know - I cited both the Primorac and Korbel in my original post. Pondus above recommends the Stiga AR Wood, so I'll look into that next. I remain surprised there isn't more choice.

Thanks, Fatt. I'd really like to try the Butterfly Adolescen, but I don't know how to get hold of one. Do they still make them, and does anywhere sell them?

It says at the bottom of the ad they no longer ship to the EU owing to Butterfly selling restrictions.

I've bought from them before - no issues. Just took a long time from Australia to the US.
EDIT: Sorry, I thought this was referencing the eBay store from Australia listed above. I don't have experience in buying stuff from  http://www.tabletennisoutlet.com
