Anybody heard anything about these bad boys? Here's grip:
Power Grip: I'm very interested in the regular Grip version, as it's spin emphasis. oh boy!

Not yet but people are expecting big things from it. A few pros are for real using rasant turbo on the tour now and this is supposed to be better again

It sounds like it's going to be an adaptation to the new ball. As the plastic ball reduces rotation and speed, Rasant powergrip combines tensor effect and extra grip together to essentially maximise power and spin together. Sounds intruiging!

I donned some rejected CPT America outfit, painted it green and red, then inside a secret Meth lab I dipped me gloved handz in a pot with some melted down used sheet from the Schildkrot 900. Now I am ready to borrow Pirelli Tires' marketing slogan of "Power is nothing without control."
What an intensly thoughtful marketing campaign !!!

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

Likely to be the same generation as the Donic Bluefire M1 turbo and Joola Maxxx 500, which are also 50deg and also claiming more grip/spin.... they haven't produced the cool videos that Andro makes though. |

It's all in the marketing.
Thinking about it, I haven't seen BH-Man and the dodgy green Andro Lycra fetish bloke in the same room. Coincidence? |

Guchi from WRM made a full review with the Andro Japan Representative (who is also a strong player) They have a full video review and session with the rubbers. I'll post it later. I'm definitely going to try some, making it the first tensor I try since the release of Baracuda.
I only got to see the first 10 minutes, where they were comparing Regular Rasant Turbo to Power Grip Edited by beeray1 - 04/11/2014 at 5:19pm |

Grip really looks grippy but seems so sensitive to incoming spin oppose to the regular Rasant. I just got a Rasant PS and I guess I'll stick with it for now. |

compared yesterday the rasant grip with elp on a 5 ply wood by TTManufaktur
The rasant grip is much different than elp, slower, much lower trampoline effect, much more controll and lower throw angle regarding grip and spin I would say quite the same the feeling playing with rasant grip is more or less like playing with tenergy except for the throw angle, the topsheet is quite soft, softer than elp, not high trampoline effect and high controll really good rubber, not so much power like evolution but better controll I played the last two weeks with jp01 turbo, m1 turbo, 5q vip and found the rasant grip the best one the two donics turbo are in my opinion two hard and fast, and the 5q vip too soft

No doubt rasant powergrip is verry spinny. I think it would be more spinny than tenergy rubbers but question is how long would it last. As for durability and for the price it would be fair enough to buy it. Definitely a forehand rubber for me.

I would say that a commercial set up like this would be a lot more effective to grab attention and get people to identify with, build respect for, or simply desire the product, but what is my opinion worth?

I've got a Grip and a Power Grip in max. The Grip is 70 g uncut and the Power Grip is 74 uncut. I need more time to break them up but these rubbers seem very spiny.

so eager to hear your review soon.. may I suggest to please include what type of topsheet does these two rubbers resemble, is it more of a european rubber,ie: not too hard atop surface and not too sticky.. or does it resemble a tacky chinese rubber.

I don't understand Japanese; but it looks like the PowerGrip is super sensitive to incoming spin. |
