I think a young person in decent (cardio) shape can do this, the trick is to do it a second time!

Edit: I mean this level of exertion, certainly not such high-quality shots!

I think the point of this drill is to land the most shots while engaging footwork.

I counted about 34 shots landed out of 42 total fed. Which is roughly 81%!!! That's insanely good by most standards... and his shots are very high quality.

Not anyone can do this, even pros struggle keeping most balls on the table.

It's insane consistency with such high quality shots, 99% of players couldn't hit that well. Still, this kind of drill can be good for anyone who wants to improve their stamina in a point, perhaps at a slightly slower speed though! :)

ovtcharov is going even faster actually. first one, i do that once in awhile in reg. training even faster 75-90% acc. it's not that hard if you're fast enough with good form and fitness as argo said. when i fed multiball to 2500 players, i go even faster though with breaks in between unless they request full basket non-stop. 2500 level can hit like 95% at a faster rate very consistently. i probably fed like 300 balls this way and this one provincial player only missed TWO! she's not the best player but probably the fastest at continuous rip that i've met so far in NA. almost beat wang zhen (eugene) going all out pinning bh under 3 one game.

This is off-topic, but where I play they used to have a dance revolution game. I would warm up one game and after that my footwork felt really good.

Aside from cardio, the main benefit I see from multiball is to quicken one's reset after the stroke. Multiball makes you learn a short compact stroke with a quick reset.  Most lower level players have too long a stroke or don't feel the need to immediately reset for the next stroke (sometimes caught admiring their last shot).

Yeah, this is a very common problems among many players, I had this problem a couple of years ago, my forehand swing was to long. I can also really recommend people to train much multi ball, it helped me, now my short forehand is a deadly weapon! Wink
