Hi there!
Depands on ehat you are going to do with it?
For a good start i think the 802-40 is a good one. Its quite close to inverted, but easier to hit thru spin and a tiny bit deceptive. Plus its cheap!
Best regards from Robin

Hello. Try some of the best.. I tested myself a few shortpips and the most controllable and easy to play with are Butterfly Raystorm 1.9 mm and TSP Spectol 1.5-1.8 mm(eventually Spectol 21). Good luck!

Ditto 802-40 for starters. Get 1.8mm for the BH.
I like the 'point and shoot' feel I get from SP. Learn to block/hit quick off the bounce and through the ball. 802-40 SP doesn't grab as well as inverted so don't try any brush looping. For the real SP experience try 802. |

Flarestotm 2 is not easy to use, you need a lot of shortpips experience to play with this... Just try what I suggested (Raystorm, Spectol) and you won't be disappointed. Regards!

How does these rubbers differ from Flarestorm 2? when I am using f2 I feel like i dont have any control. the ball is either landing into the net or over the table :(

F2 is harder sponge and faster than Spectol or Raystorm. They have a soft sponge and grab the ball well. Spectol has a lower throw angle which makes it good for blocking, but not quite as easy to open up with. Both are good rubbers. I would start out with 1.8 or 1.9 in either. 802-40 is pretty good but not as good overall as either Spectol or Raystorm.

I have been using short pips for a long time... I tried almost everything on the market. If you are first time user, go with 802-40, then Stiga Royal... good luck.
