Hi,
I was wondering if Falco tempo long is truly the best booster around that gives the biggest bang for buck? megaspin is charging about 35$ total with shipping which I think is a bit high considering 150 ml only. Has the price gone up in the recent years? thanks. |

Any other places I should check? |

if I find it somewhere else I'll report back and btw I'll spare you my utterly novice opinion on whether it's the best bang for the buck. I'm sure opinions will roll in on that

@Theo
appreciate it . Hopefully I can find something cheaper. I don't really know if I will like it or not. Hence the question of price. I am open to suggestions. You should throw in your 2 cents regardless of what others say or do. |

FLT is great - unlike Dandoy (and many others) whose effects last only last a couple of weeks and make the sponge mushy.

sry to let you know, the FTL price @ tt11 with the free shipping option is the cheapest price unless you want to try the no-name booster from taobao BTW, 150 ml good for how many rubbers ?

i would estimate based on I use 4 layers ( 2 on rubber, 2 on blade) of tearmender and that is 177 ml. Gives me say 25+ applications.
the ftl being 150ml , estimating 2 layers on sponge only, should go of 50+ applications? again I am just ball-parking based on how I go through tearmender lol. |

hmm, just say 50 times (even some people say 1 layer is good enough); that shall good for six years (50* 1.5 month (apply every 6 weeks) / 12 months per year) for personal use. I think you should just get it from tt11; not worth the time .

here we go going off of topics again. Please refer to the previous threads regarding the legality of boosters. Let's try to stick to the question at hand here. Thank you. |

you mathematician you. tt11 is out atm. trying to weigh other viable options :P of where to buy from, as well as alternatives to FTL (best bang for buck). |

Personally I've tried X-Treme Power Booster and Falco Tempo Long. Applied them to both classics (i.e. Sriver) and Chinese rubbers, in my case H3neo. I applied two layers in each case and each FTL treated rubber turned out too wild for my taste. XTreme booster had a mild effect even after two layers. I would agree that when using FTL you really only need just one layer. The one downside with FTL is the rubber had gotten noticeably heavier while I didn't experience the same with the X-Treme booster.

being 22 year old; weight isn't really a concern atm.
is your current h3neo boosted with ftl? how often do you boost yours? does it affect the durability of the topsheet? you're the second person to vote for 1 layer of FTL. this is a great sign. Thank you. |

Yes and I like it just a tad slower. So one layer next time. Durability - not sure. The tackiness is gone but the mad spin is still there.

i wonder, is the tack gone because of the boosting of sponge (leads to stretch on topsheet) or maybe because there was no plastic cover. Some people like less tack.
Or perhaps it's the playing condition, or maybe the type of cleaner that you use? the only reason I retired my tg3 neo after about 2 months was because it felt dead off 5/6 ft off table. I am re considering it since all i play with is the poly ball now and tack is the way to go, imo for me at least. |

given that boosters EXPEND the sponge, where speed glues SHRINK the sponge.
Wont either method mess up the no so sturdy factory gluejob between the topsheet and sponge? My Aurora's sponge shrinked smaller and thicker after re-glueing couple times of elmer's on the blade that the topsheet was 1 inch bigger diameter when it effortlessly self-detached itself from the damn sponge. (ask me to post pix) Boosters in the other hand would have the same result but the sponge being bigger and thinner than the topsheet??

Ha ha. Got it. Sorry.... BTW, if a rubber doesn't have a reaction on Falco Long after the second layer, I stop there, so a bottle should be enough for at least two years. Mine is maybe 3y old and still just below the middle |

I boost only Chinese rubbers and alike, but mainly T05. Let's say a layer every 4 months until the top sheet lasts

imo they don't really need boosting. I get enough out of them with my blade. Just the top-sheet gives out in most cases. Talking about esn rubbers of course.

Some reviewers said it worked on some ESN rubbers but not all. I am eager to try it
