Hi there. First of all, I'm a Japanese local in Okinawa and also probably pre-middle level player who had been playing for 6 years during mid school and high school hood. I recently restarted to play on occasional bases for my health and use shakehand rucket with Sliver FX for forhand, Spectol for backhand. I usually play with my fellow mid school-hood fellas but wonder if possible to get a chance to interact with some experienced foreingner like U.S military guys through this sport around my area such as Naha,Urasoe,Ginowan,Chatan,Kadena...maybe until Kin lol. Unfortunately my English is also mid level and not sometimes would be inconprehensible. lol If somebody get intersted in, please let me know.

Hi.  I'm not sure that I can be of any help, but I will try.  I, when in the Army, was stationed on Okinawa from September 1966 through March 1968.  You might try both Kadena and Naha Air Force bases; I played at Kadena but not Naha.

Perhaps the Kokosai table tennis club on Kokosai St. in Naha still exists.  When I played there it had some of the strongest players on Okinawa.

I also don't know if Fort Buckner, then the largest Army base on Okinawa, still exists.  If it does, you might have an opportunity to play against some of the better servicemen there.

Your written English is quite good.  It is a lot better than my spoken Japanese.

Are you still looking for someone to play ping pong with, if so I am interested. I live in yamauchi outside Kadena gate 5, I have a table in my garage.
