Yes indeed, why? Looks like a high end, higher speed variation on the ALC classic, but nothing seems to set it apart, little is known about it and even pictures are hard to come by.

After I tried Baum Espirit from Donic, I keep away of every BTY Alc clone.. Even that I tried from a friend just out of curiosity.. I can imagine how Ov True Carbon will be.. Dead

You guys are probably right.  But Donic does have a really nice shape for their ST handles.

You are doing a good job of talking me out of it.

With that said, I have a suspicion that this blade may actually be made by Soulspin, which is why I am going to try it.

The Donic World Champion '89 blades were very likely made by Soulspin as well...they are very nice blades.

Yeah, the WC89 are SoulSpin, as is the Ovtcharov Feat.  The Crest blades most likely aren't.  Hard to say about the True Carbon, but Donic are helpful in being clear on their "Made in Germany" blades, so if they don't push that for the True Carbon (when it's available in June) then I would hedge my bets on it being made elsewhere.

If it's as good in terms of quality and feel as the Crests (which are far better made than the Baum, for example), it should be a top blade for €80 and a cheaper (and market available) option for all the overpriced, market restricted Butterfly ALC variants.  It would be nice to get more info though - head size, thickness, etc.

http://store.tibhar.com/index.php?lang=1

FX-S and EL-S descriptions added to tibhar website.

FX-S
FX-S: high grip PRO upper rubber, flexible medium sponge, medium-high speed and maximum spin.
FX-S is the 'little brother' of the EL-S.
The FX-S has the enormous spin values of MX-S and the power of the MX-P combined with a newly designed rubber surface.
The sponge of the FX-S is softer than the sponge of the EL-S, so that the FX-S in combination with a personalized pimple geometry is more elastic which generates 'Flexible Spin'.
The FX-S is much softer than MX-P and MX-S, but slightly harder than the FX-P. FX-S significantly distinguishes itself from the medium rubbers EL-P and EL-S.

EL-S
EL-S: high grip PRO upper rubber, elastic medium-hard sponge, extremely high speed and maximum spin.
The EL-S combines the enormous spin values of the MX-S with a completely new rubber surface and the power of the MX-P.
TIBHAR created a stand-alone rubber in the evolution series, with a medium-hard sponge and a specially tuned pimple geometry, setting new standards in terms of elasticity.
The EL-S gives sensational touch despite enormous dynamism and high spin values. Excelling at topspin, the EL-S offers high rotation and power in all game situations.

As in Paul Drinkhall? His play doesn't indicate that he's a defensive player though. Weird.

Ha ha, yes I know.  It does feel a bit more shoe-horned in to the range than, say, the allround blade.  However, although it does say "Paul Drinkhall" on the blade lens, the marketing blurb ties the blade to his wife Jo, who is a chopper.  So it almost makes sense.

Yeah..

Ha I love it. It's like a seemingly better sanwei pistol grip.

Anyways, I wish them all the luck. But it's really really weird they advertise that they put on Long pips for you. That kinda tells me these guys haven't played much or understand rubber types.

That being said, being a penholder, I've always been fascinated with the pistol grip like approach. I think forehands would be more natural. lol. I'll probably pick up this paddle for funzies at some point. :)

The pips pattern isn't legal.  Hopefully the bamboo layers aren't edge-grained like the handle.  If so, this blade would not be legal either.

Are there any Stiga Mantra reviews coming? They seem like interesting rubbers and they are already available in some e-shops.

Added Nittaku Alhelg SR and SC.

These are interesting in that the packaging makes it very clear that the topsheet is Made In Japan, while the sponges are Made In China.  SR is a red sponge, SC is cream and is harder.

Makes me wonder where the original Alhelg was made.
