You just need to recognize the serve and move accordingly. Easier said than done though.

There are mannnnnnyyy players that can reach the ball. Pretty much the reason it's not used by pros.

I used to be able to catch many of our smaller juniors with this serve. Now most are waiting for it and quickly run around the side of the table to receive it.

2 days ago I served this serve to 10 year old Aziz. He quickly went around the side and then received it with his own bounce back shot that I was unable to reach. First time that had happened to me. Little smart aleck.

The real reason is most can't do a high quality serve consistently.  Bobrow's serve, while effective against that opponent, is low quality.

A high quality ghost serve looks like this, in particular, the last one.  Wink
