What district will you stay in? You know, the city is quite large, traffic is not very good and you won't want to travel 20km to play table tennis.
BTW, are you Vietnamese?

You can find below the list of clubs in Ho Chi Minh city :

http://bongban.org/forums/clb-bong-ban-tai-tp-hcm.18/

you can contact Phat (Lucky Sport) to buy Andro clothing, rubber, ... and play with him, he should be around 2200-2300. PM me if you want his mobile number.

Have a nice trip to Vietnam :-)

If you stay in District 10, you can try these clubs:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Clb-B%C3%B3ng-B%C3%A0n-X%C3%AD-Nghi%E1%BB%87p-%C4%90%E1%BA%A7u-M%C3%A1y/346983002044133

http://bongban.org/threads/clb-bong-ban-truong-ptth-nguyen-du-q-10-chuan-bi-khai-truong.17903/

Unfortunately, I'm not around District 10, or else I can take you to some clubs near my place.

To buy clothing and etc., you can try http://dungcubongban.vn, http://bongban.asia or http://dungbongban.com
Palio is not a very popular brand in Ho Chi Minh, their rubbers are not always available, but I think you can buy Blizt or Aeolus at dungcubongban.vn

Just bought few tenergy from Dunc in District 1. Gave me a discount on the rubbers. Very nice lady. Going to play tomorrow. If you are free, message me and maybe you can show me around.

There are not many clubs in District 1 because it's the center district. A few places to play in/near district 1:

- Cung van hoa lao dong, 55B Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, District 1
- Ga Sài Gòn, 1 Nguyễn thông, District 3
- Hoa Lư stadium, Đinh Tiên Hoàng, District 1 (it can be hard to find a partner at this club, I'm not sure)

A very good coach (~2400 US rating) will charge about $10-$15/hour. Top coaches (~2500 US rating) may cost a little more but I think not higher than $20/hour.
But if you can't speak Vietnamese, the problem is finding a coach who can speak English, there are not many of them.

I just happened to stumble across this old thread. If anyone else stumbles across this post looking for a place to play in Saigon, please send me a pm. I know a ton of places and a good coach, should you be looking to train.
Current Setup:

Undecided

USATT Rating 1815
Estimated playing level 1950ish.
(In Asia since December 2015, no USATT events here)
