If you looked at the real slow motion, it seems FZD has prepared for this, or practiced this situation before,  he gauged and hold the paddle there, Amazing talent

ok, that was an amazing shot.
However, did the ball hit the side and then go to the top of the table?
I think it should be Gauzy's point!

Watch the 2nd angle (from Gauzy's side) at 0.25 speed.  Ball misses the side and goes up over table slightly before starting to fall.

If it had hit the side on the way up it would not have rolled toward the center of table after landing.  If it landed on the top at all after hitting the side it would have been an edge shot that bounced away from the table.

It seems there was a very small bounce before the ball went on the table. Not sure though. If that bounce was on the edge (not the side), it still would of been Fan's point.

It is almost impossible for it to have hit the side and continued on the path that it did. It was definitely Fan's point.

I'm as amazed by how quickly he reacted and maneuvered around the corner as with the ball control. Incredible skill.

+1. Physically it can not hit the side then roll on the table.

ML's shot is not even close to FZD's.

FZD's shot is amazing because the ball basically did not bounce on the table, but just rolled. It was impossible for Gauzy to return that ball. It is like FZD rolled the ball horizontally without any up or down power.
