    Posted: 06/22/2016 at 5:33pm
Hi,

I got a Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro blade (blue one), recently upgraded after using butterfly primorac with donic coppa jo gold rubbers for about a year. Please suggest me some rubbers that go well with my new blade.

As of now, I'm confused between the Tibhar evolution rubbers MX-S, MX-P and EL-P. Which one should I choose for FH and BH separately? My playing style is a little similar to Samsonov (playing away from the table, combination of offence and defence).
Also, I prefer a heavy, spin controlled rubber for FH and a faster one for BH.

Apart from these 3, please suggest any other rubbers that go well with this blade if something is better.

Thanks.

FH: MXS
BH: MXP if you prefer harder one or ELP if you prefer medium sponge.

It's a great blade.  Filip Szymanski used Tenergy 05 on both sides.

I would say that any good rubber can be used with any good blade.  Get any good rubber that fits your style and don't waste your time finding out what others that used that may not.  Samsonov has used MX-P so that can work very well.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...
Cybershape Carbon
FH/BH: H3P 41D.
Lumberjack TT, not for lovers of beautiful strokes. No time to train...

Forec Pro Original is a great blade it's giving superp control over any shot, with solid woody feel.

I give one more vote that MPX both wing are just perfect.
I'm no longer an EJ and I'm proud .

They are all good rubbers, but away from the table I'd choose MX-P/MX-P.

MX-S is harder, has a lower throw and is less bouncy while EL-P is softer, but both are slower and don't have MX-P power away from the table.

MX-S is a good rubber, but is not easy to play because it lacks catapult and without a good quality stroke the ball will find the net. It's easier to use training than playing when you are not always in very good position. MX-S has more spin than MX-P and EL-P.

Can someone elaborate more on the differences between MX-S, MX-P and EL-P?

I mean on the hardness of the sponge and topsheet, the catapult effect and the level of speed, spin and control for each of them?

Also, how do each of these compare to a donic coppa jo gold?

Speed MX-P > EL-P >~ MX-S
Spin MX-S > MX-P ~ EL-P
Hardness MX-S > MX-P > EL-P
Catapult MX-P (more linear) ~ EL-P (abrupt on some shots) >> MX-S

I don't like MX-S away from the table.

If you're considering MX-S, you might as well get Hurricane 3 provincial over it. I find Hurricane to be easier to handle than MX-S

I had donic bluefire m2 on the blade and it had great all round offensive characteristics both on FH and BH
