I have a suggestion Annes:

Forum member ttping85 has very good knowledge of blades and rubbers & is a good player. He either was or still is associated with the Paris TT11 store.

Could TT11 take his help to compile comparison charts for both blades and rubbers?

Attributes for rubbers could include: sponge hardness, topsheet hardness, grip, spin, high-end speed / dynamism, bounciness / low-end speed, etc.

For blades, you could also create a blade composition table.

Yes, he works part-time at our Paris store. We will discuss it, but it seems unlikely that he has time to make it. Thanks anyway for your suggestion!

Another thing you could fix/improve is that on the website when US Dollars are selected and when paid through PayPal the payment is only accepted in Euros, the payment becomes atleast $10-$15 more than the total shown in shopping cart in terms of US dollars. Has been the case with all the 5 orders I've placed.

Also another thing I noticed is that you usually offer 25% discount on bigger orders and then you have sale pricing or weekly special or the buy 3 get 1 free deals. These all are comparable to the 25% discount anyways so is this just a marketing technique? lol

Thank you very much for your suggestions!

Payments with paypal in dollars.
Yes, we are aware of this problem and this is in our endless-looking development to do list. :) We are currently lacking IT resources, but we will try to get this fixed asap. Furthermore, we also plan to make US dollars our default currency in the USA.

Discount policies.
Most people's orders are too small to reach the 25% (or 30% in some countries) volume discount level. That is why we also offer Weekly Specials, 3=4 and other discounts. Everyone is happy! :)

Thanks for taking all the suggestions posted in this thread under consideration.

Just a question, you guys have recently been quite slow at replying to email inquiries, I sent a message on Friday last week and was told I would get a reply after the weekend then I sent another one in the morning today as a reminder, still no reply to my inquiry.

Our answering has been slow in last days due to a surprisingly big amount of orders and one technical bug - those 2 things overloaded our customer support with work. We should be back in normal in a few days.
I hope you already have gotten a reply, didn't you?

Unfortunately that is true. Main reasons are surprisingly many orders in last week and one small technical bug that overloaded our customer support with a lot of work. We should be back in normal in a few days.

I ordered a Barwell fleet blade and specified the weight from 85-90g. I received the blade with rubbers on, but the blade weight is 96g. The weight is a little over my liking. However on the box, it says 90g. Not sure about what was going on.

Next time, I will order blade without rubber glued on it.

This is what always worries me about pre-assembled orders. What was TT11's response when you informed them of the error?

I did not send complain to TT11 as I think there is not much they can do after I received the paddle and remove the rubbers.

Glue?

Otherwise,

96g? UNPLAYABLE.

Unless you took it all apart, removed glue, etc and then got 96g...if the box says 90,I have no reason not to believe them.

The 6g is most definitely glue plus edge tape. This is normal and expected.

I'm thinking that if you have an agreement in writing that the blade should be 90 gms or less, they should and might agree to do something to remedy the situation. You should contact them if you are not satisfied. I hope you do and report their response. I always give the vendor a chance to maintain goodwill.

It appears that many Barwell fleet nowadays are quite heavy. I bought two from Malasia two years ago and they weight 95g and 96g too. I don't think the sealant will increase the weight that much (maybe one or two grams at most).

My thinking is that TT11 only have heavy Barwell fleet in stock right now.

It's up to you, but if you had an agreement with TT11 for a Barwell between 85-90 gms, and they supplied one with 95 more (taking into account sealant and tape), they should be notified so that they can have an opportunity to remedy. I too am surprised that glue and take can add 6 gms. Something I'll shave to consider in future setups.

Well, I am not that strict on weight. I would have been OK with a 91, 92,93g Barwell fleet, but 96g is a little too heavy.

On the other hand, the ST Barwell fleet blades are all very light, like 81g 82g.

I think it is hard to pick a blade for a certain customer for a large order. It will take a lot of time if TT11 wants to fulfill all the weight requirement of a big order.

If it came assembled, you simply don't know the weight of the blade. Period.

It would be great if TT11 confirms that sealant + glue + tape (which I don't use) adds 6 grams. This would be useful information.

My mistake if that's the case.

In my experience of sealing blades (and I've probably sealed well over 50), it won't add more than a gram to my recollection. And I seal the handle also.

Edge tape will add maybe a gram or two.

Hello,

Sorry to hear about these problems!

Sealing, glue and edge tape make around 3 grams in total. Please contact our customer support at info@tabletennis11.com and we will try to find you a solution. Please also provide your order number in the email.
