Use this type of format: [TUBE]IBuN0QDEw0I[ /TUBE] remove the space before /TUBE to get it to work. Edited by ameetnsharma - 10/24/2016 at 2:16am |

I love ryumon. Big fan of their channel.
Not sure if the point of this thread is to be collection of special serves but I'll play. Here's my penhold submission. The real-time service starts at 0:42. Even after watching this over & over I honestly cannot tell the difference between the side/top and his backspin version. No idea how he gets that much backspin on that motion. Pretty amazing. One of the serves he pulls more across the ball (he pulls his wrist backwards while doing the same swing to close the racket), the other he pulls underneath. IF you look at how the racket starts and finishes, you start to see more differences. IF you just look at it as a gestalt, you will have no clue what is happening without watching 10 trillion times and hoping your subconscious guesses something.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

The other really cool trick the server does is serve the side-spin version short and the underspin version long. When unsure about the exact spin on the ball, a lot of players would subconsciously return the short serve passively as if it was underspin (and pop it up in this case), and respectively try to attack the long serve thinking it was side spin (and dump it into the net in the other case).

Change this: [TUBE]https://youtu.be/IBuN0QDEw0I[ /TUBE] into this: [TUBE]IBuN0QDEw0I[ /TUBE] remove the space before /TUBE to get it to work. Edited by ameetnsharma - 10/29/2016 at 9:52am |
