It was $45 each from Slevin
kindof99 bought the two rubbers, depriving others chance to buy the two. If he had not bought the two rubbers, I would have asked Slevin if I can get both for $80. Which Slevin might rightfully decline, to which I will simply get my wife's okay to add $10. then this post shows up. kindof99 would like to sell the rubbers for $100, which is posibily the paypal fee from his purchase and added shipping cost. it is understandable so far. But from my view, I would have been able to get the two for $90; why should I pay for his mistake? with that thought, I send a message to kindof99, asking if I can get the two rubbers for $80. A simple no will suffice, but he added, "Please do not send message to me again". That was my second message to him, the first being a question whether his violin blade is still for sale, no mention of price. If prospective buyers are not allowed to bargain, please say so on the thread. To any buyer, if you are okay with the price listed and 1-line interactions, I am sure kindof99 is a reputable seller. However, if you are hoping for an interaction with human being with decent upbringing and manner, I hope you have better luck with this seller than I did. |

Seriously, post this in my for sale thread?
I am just not happy that people keep sending low ball bargain message. If you ask for $90 for them, I will reply with nicer message. The way you send your message, it looks like that you are on a garage sale. And I ask you not to send message to me again in the future, because I have no interest doing a lot of talking on prices and waste our time. Really hope that there is a block button in the forum, so we do not keep receiving message from someone that you have no interest in talking to.

The rubbers are off for sale. I will use them later. I was really surprised that many people thought that I was dumping them just because I wanted to sell them not long after I bought them.

I bought 10+ blades from kindof99. He did offer discount to me (and more discount if I buy more at a time). Basically kindof99's listing price is fair. Usually I only ask for $5 or 10$ off for a $150 blade. (He will reduce the price if the items are stuck for a few weeks...)
Here the buyer's point doesn't make any sense to me. 1) If you don't know the original price ($90 total), I may feel better if you ask for $80. And seller has the right to ignore your message. Now you know the price is $90, why do you think kindof99 is willing to lose $10 + shipping cost for something he never used? Give a reasonable price if you do respect sellers. 2) Quote "kindof99 bought the two rubbers, depriving others chance to buy the two". I disagree. Everyone has same opportunity on this forum. You miss the chance when you are hesitating. I don't understand why you blame other buyers when you are sitting there and imaging "If he had not bought the two rubbers, I would have asked Slevin if I can get both for $80. Which Slevin might rightfully decline, to which I will simply get my wife's okay to add $10. " 3) Quote "But from my view, I would have been able to get the two for $90; why should I pay for his mistake? ". It sounds funny to me. You both thought the rubbers are valuable. He just paid and got it before you made your decision. If there is a mistake, the mistake is not on him, it's on you. You missed the chance, now you need pay more for your hesitation. If you do like the rubbers, why don't you contact the original seller in the first place with a good offer? Probably you've already used the rubbers for months. Now kindof99 doesn't need them at this moment and just wants to let it go to someone who really need them with a reasonable price. Is there any mistake? Many old birds are selling black metal tag Viscaria for a ridiculous price but still have some collectors willing to buy. They have valuable things on hand and you want them. They can put any price tag on them. That's it. 4) Complaint won't solve the problem. Now you post this on a public thread, kindof99 put the rubbers off. Do you know when is the next chance for you to get 2 unused Tenergy rubbers for $100? When you ask $80, you said "I will simply get my wife's okay to add $10". Now if you don't want to wait too long time to have unused Tenergy, you have to order from retail stores. Hope your wife is still feeling okay if you ask to add $10 for 6 more times. |

A long essay, and you missed the main point. The pricing and stuff is the background info. I mention it was from my point of view, and I do not expect you to understand, nor "to make you feel better" (to your point #1). I never mentioned "overpriced". I said as much that his pricing was understandable. Heck, he can list the rubber for $1000 if he wants to. The main point was his sentence in his reply to me. It was not a complaint, but a warning to other people of the treatment they may get when contacting kindof99. You make a complaint about an unsatisfactory condition if you want an improvement or something out of it.
I know you will have more to say, as you are entitled to. You made fun of how my family rule works, but I understand that it is just how you interact with people and will not go there. I just wish when I say something (for example, a pm to another forum member), I am not met with such a strong 1-liner reply such as "Please do not send me message again". There are many other methods to express dissatisfaction. Even a no response would be better. If you see his response above, he wishes to be able to block people. You may say that my offer was a lowball. Sure, you can have your opinion. How many times did I do that to kindof99? Does it warrant that reply? If your answer is yes, please show where that clause is in the forum rules. Since you mentioned my wife and that may displease me, do I have the right to tell you "Please do not reply to my post again"? Now you may say "you can say whatever you want, I won't listen". To that, I did not say kindof99 are not allowed to say what he said to me. But my post was a warning to other people that such response may come up when you contact kindof99. If people think I am to blame that causes potential buyer to miss the rubber purchase, I apologize. kindof99's action is beyond my control, but the action is caused by my post. |

Can you please leave my thread alone? Now I wish there is a block function to block some people posting in my thread. I do not have anything more to say and I hope the argument stops now.
Go play TT and have fun. Not waste your time here proving who is right or wrong. Thanks.

that attitude is exactly my point. let others be warned.
This post will be buries over time, but for anyone who read this, thank you for reading and write carefully before you send a PM to kindof99. For the record, "Hello, Would you sell xxx for xxx? Thanks" is not an acceptable language (akin to garage sell, refer previous comment). I hoped and wished to get a normal response, and not get "Please do not send me message again" as a response when I send a PM. I did not get my wish, but I will respectfully fulfill your wishes: never send you message again leave your thread alone |
