What are some things you found most useful when doing actual practice( drills).
On what do you concentrate when working on something? For example when performing a footwork focused drill, do you concentrate on the feeling of your legs moving, or on the stroke?

For me, the quality of the ball first and foremost. Then I use that to see what mist be wrong with the stroke.   Whip mechanics, balance, positioning of the feet. If I am out of balance, I try to figure out a better position to make the shot from that keeps me ready for the next shot.
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

Everyone has their own special problems. Big smile Videos, an observant training partner, and a coach can all help you to find yours. Then you know what to watch for.

What I do is pay attention to the errors. How many long and how many in the net.If these are even that's good. If not make an adjustment.
I also pay attention to no sidespin on my strokes.

Why do you especially try to avoid sidespin, Dan?  Thanks.

I want my  strokes to be pure top or pure under. That is the most efficient way. I can add sidespin by choice.
