Hey!

I'd love to hear more about these new sanwei blades.  Did you get to play with them?

About the dynamo, I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that it's similar to the nexy higgs, despite the dynamo being 5 ply and the higgs 7 ply.

Do you have info on the 2017 sanwei A9 by any chance?  (In particular, I can't find info on the thickness and on the top 2 wood layers. From what I've read it has an ayous core.  Sanwei claims it's a "classic" composition.  Is this a limba-limba-ayous or limba-ayous-ayous design?  Does it have a 5.6-6mm thickness, putting it in the primorac/stiga allround ballpark?)

I have not tried the A9 only the Fextra and Dynamo. The higgs is the closest blade i can compare the dynamo except that is way lighter and also the same speed.

Had a few hits with the fextra, gives a very good stable feel and some really let's you loop with good power on topspin shots. And a real smooth beefy handle makes it even better. Will update after a few more knocks. Also had a few hits with the A9, I wouldn't say its really similar to classic stiga plies, a bit more hollow feel and kinda more bouncy I'd say.

Thanks for the responses about the Sanwei blades!

The A9 doesn't sound like my cup of tea (hollow and bouncy isn't usually attractive for a 5 ply all wood off-(ish) blade).  But both the fextra and the dynamo sure sound promising!

It is for 'Japan export only' but I can't find any Japanese websites selling it. It is only available at Yinhe's official shop for CNY258.

I got me a Sanwei Fextra. It is an extremely good blade. The headsize is mainstream 157x150-ish although somewhere I read it is 159x150. If it was a blade sold by one of the big names it would probably be in the 60-70 EUR range. Good speed and good feel.  And the handle is very good, it has nothing to do with those thin DHS handles. I am impressed by it.

Mine is 93 grams. In terms of speed I feel it is a little faster than my SK7 but the feel is a lot better.  The thickness is exactly 6.00 mm.

ill post a review of the fextra this week and also the dynamo. dude the fextra is amazing for a cheap blade and also the dynamo. at least even as a 7 ply blade , it still has flex that will loop the ball like a 5 ply blade.

Nothing official yet.  All I've got is this:

I'll grab a sheet as soon as I can though.  The original was great, QC on the sponge hardness aside.

Any information on Big Dipper 2?  Still can't find any info on it. Disapprove
