Players from China:

2017 India Open (Challenge series), 2-14 to 2-19.  Too close to Qatar Open, so it got hurt. Only 83 players. But Dima, Samsonov and Koki Niwa will be there.

haha, may be Kasumi Ishikawa wants a new coach. I don't remember who was the WD coach at the WJTTC. That is a very strange move.

By winning the AJTTC, Miu can play in the WTTC's WS and WD. However, she didn't play WD at the AJTTC because she wanted to win the AJTTC. Now, she did it. May be Miu don't want to play double anymore.

Much easier to look up for Draws with the old site.
Also you can look at the Qualification Groups.

====================
The published match time minus 8 hours will be US Eastern time.
So matches start at 1:00 AM Tuesday morning (US Eastern).
(Not convenient to watch, until much later in the day.)

Harimoto will also play tomorrow. It seems that he is in an easy qualification group again.

================
WALTHER Ricardo is ranked higher than Harimoto Tomokazu
in both ITTF and Ratings Central.

Harimoto may or may not win.  They are not too far apart in terms of rankings or ratings.

I fully agree with you, skip3119.
Old version gives us more professional info with easier access to data such as HH ( Hed to Head) in Draws. New one with plenty of eye catching fotos & national flags w/o country name in Draws embarrasses us a lot.
I would like to know how far ITTF can provide us with the old site along with the new one.

There's worse to come starting from 2017 India Open in my country, Japan.
we can no longer watch Live streams on itTV!, even videos on itTV!
Black screen shows "Due to existig TV rights, it's not possible to braodscast this stream in your country."
TV Tokyo does neither broadcast any of these games live nor video at a later date!

J-Sports has bought the broadcasting rights. The price to pay for an increasingly popular sport.

You can try to write to the ITTF media director and get as many of your friends to do the same thing to bombard the ITTF. That's what the North American folks did for the WTTC Tokyo in 2014 when NBC Universal bought the rights to the live stream and VOD.

When they black out (block) USA during Olympics games, some forum members mentioned that getting a VPN would solve the problems.  I subscribed a VPN for one month (cost me $7), and was able to watch the Olympics here in the US.

Question:  Can Japanese forum members subscribe VPN for one month and watch Qatar Open?
                 (I don't know if it will work.)
