To all,
Just noticed Butterfly has a new short pips out called Impartial XB and XS. The XS is for extra spin, and the XB is for speed. They cost $57 and I know Butterfly makes very good pips, so wondered if anyone has played with them or knows much about them. Butterfly Raystorm was the first short pips I went to that sent me down the short pips path. I played very well with Raystorm and almost broke 2200 with them had I not lost last match in a giant RR. Anyway I'm curious about this new short pips, but can't find any reviews about it yet. |

I tested it briefly (XS 1.9 on a Viscaria) this rubber is extremely easy to use and very spinny. It doesn't produce much disturbing effects though.

thanks Skyline. That's what you get...more spin then less disturbing effect. But might be good for people that want to switch to a short pips from inverted.

To be honest I am so close of trying the XS on my fh (my bh is my main weapon), but I don't know why something is keeping me from trying it.

Hello Skyline,
May I ask, was the XS 1.9mm on a Viscaria fast enough/just right for you? What kind of thickness would you recommend for adequate speed? Would love to hear from you. Thank you! Edited by Chewy - 05/29/2017 at 4:43pm |

For my taste it was slightly too slow but that's because I'm used to really fast blades like gergely and primorac carbon. I wouldn't call it a very slow combination, just mor control orientated then I'm used too.
