Try the R47 last night and was hitting my FH loops off the table! It's faster then my ELS but I don't see it having more spin. Might try it again later on,

Well...no response from TT11 and my order is just shipped. So that means I have to build up another 300 euro spending just for getting my hands on it...Sad.

Finally got to play with the r47, all thanks to h01ng.
This is a really good rubber, very linear and i was able to get a whole bunch of spin. The defining feature of this rubber is the dwell time, the ball gets sucked into it and stays there in the sponge for awhile. I will stick to it as my main rubber as soon as i can figure out how to get more spin on my pushes. But lots of spin on everything else.

I see that you're playing with T05. Could you compare the hardness and throw angle of R47 to T05? Is it easier to generate spin with R47? What about spin sensitivity? Thank you :)

R47 and T05 both feel the same to me in terms of hardness, however r47 feels extra cushy, I think they both have the same kind of dead feeling in lower gears, may be R47 is slightly less spin sensitive.
I think R47 has a bit higher threshold of force that you need to cross before you can get spin, but its not that much where you won't be able to figure it out. Its very grippy, so the ball stays on the rubber or feels like it does for long.

I am currently using Tibhar EL-S but find it a bit too soft feeling. Is Rasanter R47 likely to be a suitable alternative?

Thanks for that feedback. Is that because the topsheet is a lot softer? As far as I know, the sponge is harder (47 v 45).
Anyone compared EL-S and R50? >R47 feels softer than EL-S |

EL-S feels softer to me and bottoms out more easily than R47 does. This is subjective, I guess, partly from playing style and blade used.

+1. R47's topsheet is harder than EL-S's IMO. Sponge differences are probably negligible.

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

I have the same feeling. with EL-S is much more easier to kick in.
For me R47 seems too hard. |

ELS, I didn't like the way the arc used to flatten out when driving. R47 is right in my zone. When deciding between these rubbers, you have to look at your technique and swing speeds.

I am waiting to test Aurus Prime before I seriously commit to R47 for a 6 month period. But I could stay on Karis H to keep a bet alive...
