This 18yo beat Andrej Gacina and Alexander Shibaev in russian premier league.
He has also beaten Stephane Ouaiche in Hungarian open this year.
Really impressed with his game.

Really nice play indeed ! Gacina and Shibaev the same day ...
I also noticed that in the Russian league, deciders end at 7 points, same as in China superleague.
I didn't know that.

Yea, also they play straight to 11, no deuces.

Hmmm, this is one case that it is better to serve first in the match.

No 83 under 21. He has a bright future ahead of him. Probably will be a  top 50 player if he doesn't quit ping pong in the next 3-4 years.

Another great video of this young player going up against Fang Bo
Although Fang Bo won 3-2, this was not an easy victory.

btw Fang Bo in the russian league now? It seems RPL is getting all the action these days.

Fakel still has Samsonov, Mizutani, Smirnov, Ovtcharov, and Ivonin. Such a power house.
UMMC (YGMK) has Gacina, Shibaev, Vlasov and now Fang Bo.

Mizutani played for UMMC previously where they won a RPL title.

Bit off topic:
One topic that the commentators talk about is match length and how it is better if the matches are kept short in order for them to be televised on national TV. They mentioned how previously team matches would last 4-5 hours long (one commentator is a former player) and it would be exhausting for everyone.

RPL took the rules straight from CSL to keep their matches short, best out of 5, games to 11, 5th set to 7, multiple balls, ball boys, etc.
