Is there anyone outside who already has tested the Yasaka Shining Dragon and wants to write a review?

From the Yasaka homepage it should have a more stickier surface than the Rising Dragon and the same hardness (and the same speed?). Is that really true?

As I already mentioned in the YRD-thread, I'm looking for an alternative to my black Skyline TG2N.
Goal is slight more dynamic without using a booster...
Maybe the black Shinging Dragon could be an alternative?

I've tried Shining dragon recently. I didn't find it very sticky, yes it has some stickiness , but I didn't find it any close to Chinese counterparts.

But Shining dragon to me is more Chinese than the Rising dragon and yes it has, may be a small advantage in stickiness. It has very interesting 'shiny' top sheet and seems to be as durable as rising dragon. It's more elastic compared to traditional non boosted Chinese rubbers.

Comparing Shining to Rising I'd say like comparing spin to speed, each has a small advantage in the corresponding area.

Haven't had a chance to try it (but I want to as it's a both rather soft, tacky and very light weight) but there are many reviews for in the Japanese blogosphere. From what I gather the biggest plus is the weight (one website measured max thickness being only 59 grams). It's clearly softer compared to Rising Dragon (2 degrees softer the same review said) and the sponge is far more porous. It's fast, but not as fast as Rising Dragon, but it's incredibly easy to use and excels at counter looping.

I'm playing with Shining Dragon on forehand and Rising Dragon on backhand for couple of months and found it as perfect rubber for me.

I use Viscaria.

Shining Dragon is tackier than Rising Dragon and slightly slower.
If you looking for catapult(tensor) effect you probably wont feel it with Shining Dragon.

Could someone compare it to Hurricane 8?
That is also meant to be somewhat faster and less tacky than a typical chinese rubber, but still not tensor.
Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Gergely
