can anyone recommend a good carbon off- to off controllable blade.
probably limba outer, not spruce medial (too bouncy)

what might be a good joola rossi emotion for the new ball?

would be using evolution el-s on fh
not sure on bh

coming from a stratus Powerwood

looking to play quite attacking close to just off the table
hoping to shorten strokes a little, drive and block not a massive looper

Waldner Senso Carbon. An off- blade, closer in feel to all wood blades as the carbon is next to the core. I think the composition is limba-limba-carbon-Ayous-carbon-limba-limba (but not sure on second ply).

All carbonados are Limba outer. If your budget is not up for that you could choose Yasaka Ma lin carbon.
All the blades have carbon layers underneath the limba layer.

Fang Bo 2 is also an option. It has the ALC layer close to the core as the Innerforce series

Fang Bo 2/IF ALC/Hurricane Long 5 would all be nice blades to try :)

Inner ALC layer with the same construction as TSPW otherwise!

I'd recommend Nexy Calix II (I've been playing with it for quite some time), which is a very controllable carbon blade in Off-/Off range, relatively thin, with some flex but not bouncy.  If you do a quick search, you will find many reviews of Calix II on this forum.

The question now is why you need carbon blade?

Carbon means - less control and less dwell time, less feeling.

So why don't you take 5ply OFF blade??? You will have excellent control and feel.

For example Nittaku Latika or Butterfly Petr Korbel.

Not carbon but if you want a composite blade, you could try a ZLF blade.  Not particularly fast.

JRE is something All+/off- hinoki outer plus. I wouldnt go to any carbon blade as well
Rosewood V FL

Nittaku Fastarc G1-FH

Stiga DNA Pro-S MAX BH

Avoid any Butterfly stuff... at abusive prices. Raw power without control means nothing

Get a Fang Bo 2 or Stratus Samsonov Carbon, they should be similar to your old blade but with a bit of extra zip! Don't overthink it.

Calix II is tons of control for topspin, much more than many blades its speed class, but control is a different thing for everyone, it involves sensation at impact and how/what you do most. I have in the last few months learned than my ALL+ class Lissom with Karis M+ is faster on a power loop than the same rubber on my OFF- to OFF KJH. You never really know until you try it out first hand.

Waldner Senso Carbon is an excellent blade.
Just had my first go with one today.
Excellent in block
good Driving
Very spinny in loop
a bit harder in short game than my stratus Powerwood but nothing I wont adjust too.

amazing control but still great speed when needed
ive only ever used 5 carbon blades before and this is far better than the others

Joola Rossi Emotion
Andro Ligna off
Stiga Allround Classic
Andro Carbon Light all+ and off+
Butterfly Primorac Carbon

as well reported on this forum a superb blade for under £50
basically carbon for mortals!!

really really pleased, will report back in 2 weeks as im a bit impulsive!

By the way, some people claim that Victas Firefall FC plays like WSC on steroids.
So if you have 100$ you can try it as well.
