I just ordered a Acoustic LG, maybe it will have a similar effect, taking a step down from the Apolonia ZLC.

Tbh it could simply be going back to a 5-ply all wood. I had a similar revelation when coming from the Fang Bo 2. All wood just FEELS better, and more natural than composite.

What happened man. You should never get married. That's my advice to you fatt. Otherwise it will be costly (50% of your blade collection gone every time) |

My story of "There and Back Again".
At the beginning of my EJ "career", I switched from Energy Wood to Timo Boll Spark and was happy for quite some time, except for the thin ST handle. In 2010, I got a used Violin and never looked back: the only thing that still bugged me was the thin handle. In 2011, I got a used Nexy Lissom, which bears quite some similarity with Violin despite having only the top ply of white ash in common, and it became my main blade until Nittaku released Violin with L-Size handle. Since, I have alternated Lissom and Violin as my main blades. These days I tend to prefer Violin, because it's less head heavy, though a bit slower, than Lissom. |

I used an original size handle Violin and I like it. How about the large size handle? Is it the same as the large size handle of acoustic? The smaller size handle of violin is round, but the large size one appears to be not round. How large is the large size handle? What handle is it comparable to? Thanks.

Violin Large size ST handle is about 28.5 x 23 mm, circumference is 87 mm.
Violin regular ST handle is about 26.5 x 23 mm, circumference is 82 mm. Handle length is 100 mm and head size is 149 x 156 mm in both cases. Edited by arg0 - 07/05/2017 at 12:15pm |

You see, everything is relative. I absolutely LOVE the Violin Large handle, and I hated the small one, with and without wrap, to the point that I stopped playing with Violin before the Large handle version was released...

Thanks arg0. Maybe it is different from the large handle of acoustic, which I do not like.

The violin large handle is indeed rounder on the side than the large handle of acoustic.

I would need to check. They did not appear to be too different to me, but it has been a long time since I took my Acoustic out of the box. I mainly keep it as collectible.
kindof99, can you post a picture of the two blade handles side-by-side? |

The Acoustic LG is a tiny bit more square than the Violin LG but not by much. If anyone has a Violin LG to sell by the way or knows of a shop where it's in stock, let me know. I can't find one :(
