In general, at the discretion of the Japanese table tennis association ...
For example, last time Mima Ito and Miu Hirano participated, and Ishikawa was not in the composition, although she had a rating higher ....
Now they decided otherwise .....Ermm

Although Ishikawa had a rating higher ....
This year it was decided to declare strictly two players with the highest ratings ...Disapprove

I hope Sun Yingsha would get more oppotunities on the international stages. She's likely to be the No.1 female player, before not too long.

Sun Yingsha is a darn good player. Whenever she figures out how to beat Ding Ning, she will be #1.
Just don't know if she can figure out or adapt to playing Ding Ning.  She is young, got plenty of time.

Interesting to see how Zhu Yuling will do against Hirano Miu.
After the Asian Championships, both Ding Ning and Chen Meng played Hirano and both won.

Zhu Yuling is the only one who has not played Hirano Miu after the Asian Championships.

*** As everyone here can recall that in the Asian Championships (4-9-2017)
*** Hirano Miu beat Ding Ning, Chen Meng and Zhu Yuling. (That shocked CNT.)

CCTV5 will broadcast the games on Sept. 16 and 17, but there will probably be no live TV for the games on Sept. 15

Who hasn't fallen in love with the best-of-5 format for singles ever since the ATTC 2017?

Top players are losing left and right.

Hirano just lost to Doo Hoi Kem. She needs to win her last group match to advance to the group playoff for the 2 remaining spots of the main draw.

Batra finishing 1st in her group. WOW! India is already a force in badminton. Table tennis next?

I feel bad for Sawettabut. She is good.

FTW dead last in her group. Could it be she is still recovering from her concussion?

Nevertheless, I believe, Miu Hirano will be held in the quarterfinal ....
And then, how lucky ....
Or L.S.V, or CHEN Szu-Yu ...

STAGE 1 KO:
HIRANO Miu JPN vs BATRA Manika IND
LEE Ho Ching HKG vs SUH Hyowon KOR

Barta Manika may give Hirano Miu some trouble because of the unfamiliar style (Barta's LP blocking style is not her sister's style).
