Hi,
I've been playing with a Butterfly Innerforce ZLC and Andro Rasant 2.1 rubber for about five years. I was getting ready to order more rubber and read that Rasant has been discontinued, to be replaced by Rasanter. It looks like Rasanter has numerous varieties, and I haven't much looked into their differences yet. I'm considering playing in a tournament soon, and wanted fresh rubber for it. Rasant is now selling at a considerable discount, so I thought I would maybe buy two more sheets of it for the tournament, then decide what my next rubber will be when the topsheets are no longer playable. Though I've played table tennis for a long time, I've never been someone who's spent much time analyzing or researching blades and rubber. Frankly I am intimidated by the vastness of the selection possibilities. I'm wondering, based on my current setup, which rubber someone might suggest for me to use next. I'm rated about 2150-2200, and play a game which combines a lot of blocking, mid-distance spinning, fishing and retrieval. I have found Rasant to be very suitable for this kind of game. For reference, rubbers I've previously used, and which I thought were well-suited to my style, included: Vario Big Slam, Desto F3 Big Slam, Rakza 7 and Tenergy 80 (likely wouldn't repurchase it due to priciness). I think it would be best if I continued with some kind of tensor rubber, meaning I'd probably not select something similar to Vario or Desto again, either. I hadn't even opened a catalog until just now, realizing that Rasant will no longer be made. If anyone has suggestions, I would really appreciate them. I can also provide more specific information about my style and past setups if that would make recommendations easier. |
