Wang Liqin didn't look too good in his match against Boll. Maybe fatigue from the tough schedule and going a full 7 games with Chen Qi didn't help. I was hoping for a more competitive match.

I was hoping for a more competitive match" yeah, same here, ppf... but he's been losing a lot lately. anyhow, he didn't look that good in the chen qi match either, but somehow chen lost it, which he usually does against wlq... but, like you said, fatigue coulda been a factor, cuz he had to play his singles semifinal, doubles final and singles final on the same day, in the space of a few hours... that said, boll has been saying on his website that after playing this summer in china, he feels he's the strongest he's ever been. looking at him play this morning, it looks like once he gets into a long rally, he wins the point. to beat him, it looks like you have to win points quickly, that is, by the 3rd or 4th ball... but then again, he lost to suess last week in the bundesliga and then he lost to chen qi earlier this week in malaysia... anyway, it doesn't look so good for wlq for the japan open next week. usually somebody gets a big upset on him there for some reason... |

That b*tch doing the commentary for the Wang vs. Boll game seriously needs to shut up. She keeps freaking talking about useless things when the camera zooms into Liu coaching Wang. I am sure all the viewers would like to hear what type of coaching advice are given at such high level competition.

Liqin played the doubles final too ! Last year He won 3:0 against Samsonov Kreanga Timo Schalger Oh Seung in 1 day that's amazing :) He was tired today. Timo lost to Chen qi just because he was tired too.He just arrived 1 day earlier.He can beat him any day. |

yeah, though, i wouldn't put it that way, i do agree. just in general i think the chinese commentators talk too much. but, in their defense, i was watching the broadcast from guangdong tv sports and they did shut up and let us listen in on the coaches. unfortunately, if you didn't speak whatever language it happened to be, like, say, german when boll was talking to his coach, then it doesn't really matter if the commentators talk or not... so, did anyone catch when coach prause was joking with boll about him trying that inside-out backhand chop that he picked up from hou yingchao the match before?? |

Last years he won at 24 december china vs world meeting just becouse Europlayers don't have any motivation or will to play hard for a useless stupid exibition match, loosing instead their own christmas at home.That's the fact...Vladi,Werner and Timo defeated Wang Liqin in a couple of "true" match... |
