2 times world singles champs, world cup winner,
Olympic gold medalist. Jike is deservedly ranked in the top 5. Unlike the overated WcT who has won nothing in his whole career.

Yea right. Pitchford, Jeong, Alamian, Achanta, Karlsson, shibaev, Mattenet all deserve to be ranked higher than the overrated WCT.

Oops, they have not even stood on the podium in any of the three majors.

WCT has won nothing, other than two WTTC XD bronze medals, one World Cup singles bronze medal.

These guys who beat Mr Wong are all ranked in the 50s, 60s. Unlike Mr Wong who has been ranked in the top 10 for the last 2 years. these guys don't have inflated rankings. Basically anyone ranked in the top 60 can beat him, that is Why I said he is overated.

Winning a wc bronze by beating Monteiro, Lee sangsu and Karlsson should be considered as a major achievement ? In 2016, Monteiro and Karlsson were ranked outside the top 50s and Lee Sangsu was the only one ranked in the top 20. Let's be honest , he had a very lucky draw en route to the semi final. If he had to play someone in the top 10 in the earlier round, like Ovtcharov or Timo, he would have been eliminated.

And doubles should not even be used to judge a players' playing ability.

interesting match between Freitas and Harimoto.

I would say it is a 50/50 match.

Oshima can definitely cause an upset against xu xin.
He almost beat Ma Long 2 years ago.

In a recent TV show, Mizutani said in front of the camera that he started noticing his body declining at the age of 26, and the achievement at the Rio Olympics was so relieving that he felt satisfied with his career. He admitted His loss to Harimoto in Dusseldorf was no coincidence, he was defeated handily.

That was his first and only ever win at the time and it was a close match  (I am not sure but he might even have had subsequent losses).  Not the same as 6-0.  IT's a classic match but my point stands.

I agree with this statement, 100%.
Yup. Definitely, not the same sharpness. Just watch any video from his heyday. ZJK's era is over. Time for him to get married, develop a movie or singing career.

These matches should be interesting:

Ito Mima vs Feng Yalan.
10 AM US Eastern, Saturday.  Table 1.
(Note:  Ito Mima beat Gu Yuting in Round 32. That's an outstanding accomplishment.)
=====
Ishikawa Kasumi vs Wu Yang.
11:30 AM US Eastern, Saturday.  Table 1.

Freitas is giving Xu Xin a tough match. Playing surprisingly aggressive, and rattling Xu Xin a bit. Game 4: 1-2 down but 7-4.
