Hi

I have worked with SANWEI to make the OEM Carbon Blade which is the upgrade version of their 502E. After review with local players here , it is quite promising. This blade may not as good as the High End blade but consider below 20 USD price , the feeling is quite good. So , I would like to get opinion from players from other countries how they feel about it. If anyone want to test , please let me know. I am looking for 5 players to help reviewing my blade.

I will also test it with Dr.Neubauer Gangster this week and will share if it will suit with LP close to the table or not.

I'd be interested in testing it as well.
I've reviewed about 15 blades for Nexy and about a similar number of others (Nittaku, OSP, Stiga, Yinhe, Butterfly) in the last years, some also in German and Italian.

Update: just noticed the original 502E is OFF+. If this is also OFF+, I'm not a good candidate for a review; I think I'll pass.

Hi

I will ship this blade to FABIAN 1980 (FL) and SMACKDAT(ST) today.

I will also wait for ohwell to confirm shipping address and argO to confirm if he need it or not. Frankly , the feeling of this blade is not big different from GEWO FORCE ARC which is really surprising me.

Best Regards

Since the blade is not costly , I can extend to 10.
If possible , please kindly put review in Tabletennisdb so community can see it. You can compare the performance against its price.

Sanwei OEM Carbon Review

Hey guys,
so today I'm posting the review of my blade. I play the common double-winged looping style and usually a Clipper CR with H3 Neo Provincial and Skyline 3-60. In the past weeks I also tested several blades like the Violin, Viscaria and the Long V. For the test I used the same kind of rubbers as I usually play, just a bit older ones.

The blade I received was very light, for my taste actually too light with only 80 grams although it is thicker than my Viscaria with 87 grams. I like the solid feel of blades around 90 grams.

Built quality
The quality of the blade at the first look is good, although I saw some things I did not like. The finish in general looks really good, the lens is not inserted perfectly though. And the core seems to consist of three big parts, not one piece of wood. I have not ever seen this before but I usually play blades which are a lot more expensive, Buttefly, Stiga etc. I don't think it affects play to be honest, at least I did not feel a difference. For the price point of roughly 20 USD I think the quality is very good. Of course you can't compare it to a Viscaria but that would not be fair.

Ply Structure
Innerforce type with a thick core. Don't know much about the plies. Stiffer than Viscaria because of thicker core.

Speed
In general I found the blade to be quite similar to a Butterfly Viscaria although it has a different ply structure. The bounciness is really similar, although I thought I had a bit more control with the Viscaria. When smashing the blade played really well, I just had some problems with loops which landed behind the table. I think this is because my loops had a bit less spin than with Viscaria. My Clipper CR is a bit slower and especially less bouncy.

Spin
That's the point where I did not like the blade that much compared to the Viscaria. I think my loops with the Viscaria had more spin, maybe because the Viscaria has more flex because it is thinner. That helped landed more loops on the table. It still offered good spin but I was used to a bit more than it offered.

Control
The control for straight hits was really good, it was a bit too bouncy for me in the short game, but that's also the case with my Viscaria right now and the reason I play with Clipper CR. For smashing and blocks the stiffness really helped.

Conclusion
For its price point this is a really fine blade, a bit similar to a Butterfly Viscaria although it has an innerforce carbon layer. I did not feel the typical two gears of an innerforce blade, more like a typical ALC blade although it seems to be just carbon without arylate or something like that. Could have a bit more spin (maybe because arylate is missing), for block and smash really good.
