Got into a debate about table tennis tables I've played on and which ones I liked the best. I haven't played on that many, but was curious what people's opinions were of the table that plays the best; i.e. has the truest bounce, best finish, most consistent bounce across the surface, (anything else you think is important in a table).

Good table is a matt finish and decent friction on playing surface.
DHS table is slick and glossy. Not my choice. |

Doublefish tables are same glossy slippery surface as DHS. Same with the Joola 2500 I'm not saying they are bad. As long as they have the 25mm bounce quality. But the ball seems to slide faster. They can be affordable for a lot of people. |

One thing I forgot to ask in the initial post; am I the only one that still prefers green top?

It is totally outdated now, but the best made in terms of craftsmanship was surely the Stiga Expert VM in grey.

The German-sourced(?) Butterfly Centerfold 25 are a good deal because they're a quality table that are used in tournaments a lot here in the USA. Then they can be had at a large discount. I think I paid about $800 a number of years ago. Basically, whatever decent you can get a great deal on. Shipping of course can be expensive though.
