	Does anyone know how rubber topsheets are molded? I work in plastic injection molding. I could see injection molding of rubber being how they are produced, but IDK for sure. Anyone with this knowledge?

	Compression molding where the stock undergoes vulcanization. The topsheet is made of non-cellular rubber and the sponge is made of cellular rubber. One major difference between the two is that for sponge there is a foaming agent mixed in where it works like yeast for cake baking.

	Zeio is right. It is compression molding. You need only two plates, in one side you have holes for pips, on the other side is nest with engraving which you see on the top of rubber.This plate has a channel with a sharp edge around nest for excess rubber and easier tearing the film. You also need four guide pins to center the plates amongst themselves. Into the nest you give pieces of raw rubber and place this mold in a hot press. You must know right temperature and time to get right vulcanization. Very different than injection molding. You can see some pictures in Mizuno Q3 campaign page.
