As you can see waldner is using different kind of ST handle with an other handle shape and not what Donic or Waldner were claiming. This ST shape is not square ST or round ST but something between. That we can't buy unfortunately, it is of course some kind of messing around...especially when Donic and Waldner claim the contrary. Maybe out there are further player who would love to play with the same blade or try out the same blade which he is using.

At least this proves that he used the same rubbers several times. |

If only Donic sold this type of ST handle rather than their oval shape, I might even considering testing a Donic blade again...

That image must have been from before the speed-glue ban (as others in this thread have mentioned). I noticed immediately that his rubbers were Donic or Nittaku J.O. Waldner, and not Bluefire or whatever else he uses today. You can see the white sponge and "chevron pattern" at the bottom of them. I am more intrigued at how thick this blade appears. Judging from the handle halves, it appears to be at least thicker than the 5.6mm that the Waldner Senso Carbon is billed to be. I own two such blades and both are 5.6mm. Both appear much thinner than the blade in this image. We can't know for sure which type he is using today, but it's safe to assume that it is the same type. That handle is more in line with the old Banda STraight that Waldner was used to (just with the "Senso" technology). Wishing I could get one of those |
