This kid gives me a new hope for how the plastic ball was conceived to bring balance to the force.

Moregardh got beat 4-1 by this greek dude in the 2018 YOG qualifier.
His temperament and consistency is very questionable.

He is not unbeatable obviously, but oh my god what a talent. Reflexes, anticipation, movement. If he continues the same way we will be speaking about him for a long time to come

That Greek is not your typical Greek. He is yet another European hopeful. The only obstacle to his rise is his name. How do you pronounce it?

That Greek Dude is another Junior and the #3 player on the national team despite the depth of the Greek National team. Just saying.
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

To those of sober mind, one must see in and on Moregardh the tainting by the doppelganger of Michael Maze.  This does not foster positively the prospects for Moregardh above the Maze standard.

Certain elements of Moregardh are very impressive, indeed.  Absent is the disciplined structure within his game that the sport demands of those that excel.  It is with great hope that his future environments recognize and reflect upon this, to the great benefit of the sport upon this proposed successful, multi-year intervention.

Tenergy: Two weeks of heaven, followed by three months of excellence, then, a nice rubber.

He lost, not really got beat in my eyes. Lost 3 games in duece and 1 in 11-9. Leading most of those games aswell, game he won was 11-5(or 6). Could have won this match 4-0 with a bit more luck, probably also the reason he was annoyed.

Kid has much superior biomechanics than Maze... Maze's FH loop is a back destroyer and should be outlawed from professional table tennis.

What? Specifically, what about his game reminds you of Maze?

I see much more modern "plastic ball style" than Maze's celluloid game.

Banana flicks
Backhand flat attacks
Modern but still "Chinese influenced" FH quick-attacks
Overall mix of hitting, looping

He misses a lot against the Greek player, who seems to be able to generate more topspin than Moregardh can cope with.

Indeed. I was very impressed with this play vs Calderano:

Like many other kids, he supplants his lack of physical power by using a fast blade (he uses ZJK Super ZLC with T05 in this match). Yet, he shows fantastic touch. he has good spin in his strokes

Clearly someone to watch for in the future like Truls and Harimoto (but a polar opposite to Harimoto in his noise level after winning a point).
