Dampening Sponge for pimple rubbers

   Hi, Just wanted to know whether anyone has tried to glue an ox short pimple with dampening sponge?What were your results and does the dampening sponge have any effect? I would like to hear your thoughts. 
Reason for this is that I would like to improve my blocking on the backhand with short pimples and by custom glueing a top sheet with sponge of my choice, I believe I can obtain the desired results of blocking short yet have enough power to to attack by punching and counter hitting.

	good idea...cole ely has some nice dampening sponge at a good price
