Typical Hinoki carbon blade. Stiff , Fast but has some softness from the Hinoki top ply. I think it was out around the same time as the Rapier as well. I don't remember which one was faster.

Aeolus S was my first J-Pen blade, but mine was too heavy so I sold it. Since it has been a long time, I do not remember how it plays.

But this one is neither S nor R version. It does not have a suffix letter.

S or R is not shown. You have to look at the shape. If it is more square, it is type S. If it is more round, it is type R. Seeing the picture, I think it is type S. It is said that S is more suitable if your position is far from the table.

Mine is the newer version with serial number G and black tag. 

The one posted by the starter of the topic is the older version which comes in only 1 shape and model.
