this, and boll comes out lower throw, more solid/stiff, and faster as a result. pretty punchy. flicks come out very deadly. loops can be sharp and explosive. i haven't seen anyone play this other than kids. i think it suits someone who needs more power from the blade. i think timo tried it once when it first came out and felt it was too fast, switching back to ALC. it's harder to counter loop with arc. zlc you mostly go horizontal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlZfy0cdaUE - same person, but older/bigger. now hits out a lot. IF ZLC excels at hard loops bc it catches the ball most clearly, but it's too fast for precise short game imo. you end up either flicking or just trying to go for pushes with as much spin as you can rather than drops and then preparing to block or counter. this blade suits ppl who play fast counters or block + power loop. for more feel and arc control, MJ is best. it's more versatile though it has less punch vs the other two above. you would try to speed past the opponent with this one instead of powering through.

Perhaps, you are referring to the older (no longer available) IF-ZLC. The new versions (IF Layer ZLC & Apolonia ZLC) have better control, more dwell, are spinnier & slower than MJ -ZLC (I have all 4 blades). |
