It seems nobody cares about this Open :))

On the women side, no suspens at all since LSW has no réal opposition.
On the men side, a surprise with Xu Ruifeng, coming from nowhere...the guy was ranked 191th in 2008 when he was 16 only, then dissapeared..and now he stands in the final after beating Gerassimenko 4-2: 11-1, 11-4 and 11-6 in the last 3 games.

Xu Ruifeng retired from the CNT a few years ago, if memory serves. I think he was 21 back then.

In the China Open, Morizono Masataka is declared in a mixed with Mima Ito .... Curious ....

I think they already won prizes when playing together. Japanese championships ?

Hasimoto Honoka is really good.  May be better than Wu Yang when it comes to chopping.

Curiously, in Japan Open this pair is not declared, but Ishikawa-Maharu and Hirano-Harimoto are declared ...Smile

I checked, they won this year mix double at the Japanese championship.

Xu Ruifeng is not very strong relative to many CNT players, and rarely plays on the world stage.
But he is still good enough to win this Challenge series - 2018 Thailand Open.
Xu Ruifeng beat two good players, Gerassimenko Kirill (ITTF #36) & Morizono Masataka (ITTF #52), to win the event.

On women's side Hasimoto Honoka is a very good player.
She lost to Liu Shiwen only, and did give LSW a hard time.
