in theory this is the blade persson was using in 1991 when he became world champion.
does anybody know if the composition changed from that time?
did senso v1 and v2 even exist back then?

I can´t say for sure, but I believe Donic did not change anything in PPP composition since 1991.
I have a friend who used to use PPP in 1994 and it was pretty much the same blade they sell now: a medium-hard blade with a compact and thin head size when compared to other 7-ply blades in the market.
I know the V1 and V2 technology did not exist back then. Only when Donic changed their logo, the V1/V2 was introduced. I´m not sure but it happened in 1995 or 96.

BTW, I have a PPP Cpen and it´s still the best blade to play with short pips in my opinion.

This blade is very popular at club! It has great feeling, enough power and it's good for looping, counterlooping and blocking.

I used to look down on it because a lot of beginners were using, also because it's one of the cheapest donic blades.
but it's not that bad.

Powerplay is the 7-ply blade with best feeling in the market. Its layers are thinner than blades like Clipper or P700. Total thickness of Powerplay is 5.9mm.

Wrong. Powerplay is made 100% of wood. The "foil" Donic addresses is usually taken as some other material but it is a all-wood blade for sure.

maybe it's wood, maybe not, I can't tell for sure.
one thing is sure, they advertise it as foil, not as "a layer of wood".

I can. I´ve had some Powerplays Cpen and sanded all for my index finger. There´s nothing there but wood.

Powerplay has good control but not enough power. Powerspeed is what many pros have been using. Ni Xia Lian and Sun Chen still use it

Good blade in the era 38 mm ball.   If you think Clipper is too fast and hard to control, then use this blade.   However, in the current plastic ball era, I am not sure if Persson Powerplay is the alternative to Clipper, since Clipper is not too fast and quite controllable when used with 40+ plastic ball.
Blade : Just wood
FH : black rubber
BH : red rubber

emihet gave me a Donic Persson Power Play to play with 3 months ago... and I do play using it... I am not lacking any Offense using it at all.

I am frequently called Rocketman on FH for some reason when I use it with a dynamic rubber on FH.

Ask him what he thinks, I think he has a high opinion of that blade.
