yeah, i wanna see those boll games, too!!

but, unfortunately, i don't think they were televised.  i think the tv matches are from the quarters on.

let's hope that's not the case!!

Timo's group was pretty tough. Really, any of the top-10 European guys could beat one another and in their group, a lot of the matches would be very unpredictable (minus the more predictable matches from Chen Weixing). Part of it was that him and Samsonov have played in a million European finals too, so that match was a coinflip.

Final prediction - Ma Lin beats Wang Liqin 4-2, maybe 4-1 if it's a good day

Blade - Bastian Steger Flared (Butterfly)
Rubber - Sriver 2.1 FH
              802-40 2.2 BH

I like the view of your videos, you can see all the spins the pro's put on their balls. Thanks for the clips. Full matches would be greatly appreciated. :)

I've uploaded photos and little clips I've taken during the first day. The videos quality isn't very good, since I've used my digital camera...
Nothing is sorted, just the names given by the camera.
It's here: http://tennisdetable.net.free.fr/worldcup2006/

in my mind, most of the games between the chinese team members are "fishy" as you put it.

i think as far as the chinese team is concerned, the world cup "belongs" to ma lin, so i'll be shocked if the score in the final later is anything other than 4-0 or 4-1, ma lin, inspite of the fact that wang hao has looked very good of late. cctv5 is gonna show that and the 3rd place match live starting at 9 am, eastern...

anyway, somebody from outside of china has got to beat him here and boll was the only one who could, but he didn't even get out of his group!
