I am saying butterflyusa.com is selling Viscaria for $160 and ZJK super zlc for $440 new.
IMO, new Viscaria played better than old one bc it is made for new plastic ball. Assuming both your Viscaria and my ZJK super zlc are in good condition ( mine is newer than yours). Therefore, trading your Viscaria plus $200 usd with my ZJK super zlc is a better deal in your favor. I hope this logic will help. Thanks Anh |

Serial M does not exist. If you see one, be sure that it's a fake. First series was release in 2013, is serial N. |

There is a, which in my opinion, bad trend that people are pursuing so called old tag or old version, especially Viscaria. I saw some people kept advocating that the older the better, in my opinion they just want to make money from a old used Vsicaria. As a user of Viscaria since 2006, and an owner of 4 viscaria blades (black tag with no serial, J serial, P custom and R serial), I want to say, new version is super good for plastic ball. If you are buying a Viscaria for match, don't waste your money on old version! Edited by codewarrior - 11/11/2018 at 5:01pm |

I agree with CodeWarrior completely. Just like a 2018 Porsche 930 must be better than the 2004 Porsche 930. However, 1989 Porsche 930 may have a collection factor, even though it does not out perform the 2018 version.
Those who want to own a piece of history then it’s nice to own a black tag Viscaria in new condition just for show. Control and speed, etc... are matter of practice. That’s my 2 cent opinion. |

You didn't get it. I didn't say i couldn't feel the difference, my point is when playing plastic ball, new version perfoms better, if someone feels that he cannot win with new version Viscaria, go find a coach, don't expect old version viscaria can help a lot, you are still you not Ma Long even you have the oldest Viscaria ST in your hand. Back to you, if you feel that new version Viscaria is too fast, probably you should try wood rackets, like Stiga Ebenholz V, Rosewood V, or even Stiga 45/90. If you are a big fan of Butterfly's ALC blades, Maze ALC is softer, Zhangjike ALC is also very good, other models like Innerforce ALC.S also has soft feeling.

I agree for the most part, but one statement needs further explanation. Why would a newer series viscaria be better for the plastic ball. Overall the construction didn't change right? Can you elaborate on that?

My observation is this: if u look closely at both versions together, you would find that the new version is a little thicker than the old version; so either or both the new version has thicker kiri core and more carbon mixed to enhance its speed to accommodate the new ball (40+ plastic ball requires more strength).
Caveat: I am not an expert in blade construction. It’s just my logical observation. Hope this help. Anh |

The kiri core ply changed. It was special treated in the old version to make the blade more balanced. It is simple but take times. Our custom blades service has that option now.

hey, guys don't understand? here on the forum, you can put your price on your blade if it's old or new or whatever was the condition of the blade only the buyer have the decision to buy or not, just fake blades are not allowed. Just enjoy table tennis, some people even haven't the money to buy a recreational blade and here we are making noise for if the blade it's more expensive or plays better, come on!! the equipment it's just part of the sport but the skill you build by your own way.
cheers!
