The AZXi seems interesting - is this the 1st time a leading manufacturer has put ALC on one side and ZLC on the other?

I can't think of another big one doing this. Double Day are a small manufacturer, relatively. It's a bold move! I wonder if JYS will actually start using it?

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

Xiom give the compositions as:
AZX: Koto-ZLC-Limba-Kiri-Limba-ALC-Koto AZXi: Limba-Limba-ZLC-Kiri-ALC-Limba-Limba Edited by AndySmith - 11/29/2018 at 3:28pm |

So it's an innerforce combo, Timo Boll/ZJK combo equivalent. Interesting, makes sense they would go two classic compositions alongside the innovative mix, otherwise it would perhaps be too crazy.

These blades look really cool, finally two different composite material combo. Probably will be very popular, gj by Xiom :)

I think Xiom had a good idea to make a wood with two types of carbon but it does multiply the possibilities |

I had the same question. I currently play a Zxi, and I'm happy with the BH response, and based on Simon's chart, I'm assuming that the ALC side produces a slightly less direct ball response. If that's the case, my guess is ZLC=BH, and ALC=FH. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the reviews provide once the blades are in circulation. I'm hoping the blade weights are similar to the Hyabusa series, also a 5.7 mm blade.

Can you actually feel the differences between both sides? Does one side feel like a zlc blade and the other like a alc? Or is it not that clear?

you can tell. The difference between sides. Strangely, the alc side in the azx version seem to be more bouncy or has a higher throw.

Yes i found its really easy to loop backspin (ALC side x O7A) ... at least easier than Visca x T05 or TB Alc x T05
I dont know its because the rubber or not, maybe someday i swicth the rubber.. i cant remember where i rad this.. "hard rubber easier for looping".. and i dont believe that O7A for me felt harder than T05 .. but somehow for me easier to loop .. now im not doubt to change T05 with T05H .. maybe will have same result

Do you guys think AZXi would be good if I want more spin on FH (ALC) and more rebound for BH (ZLC) short pips?

Azxi is spin oriented although the speed is more than enough
