Just noticed the ratings are posted on the USATT ratings page for the recent NA teams.
That's the quickest I can recall for this tournament. However, I suspect some match results have errors.

Very good tournament. One question: If identify few match results errors, who should I contact. Thanks.

Actually Ethan won’t change any results unless there is proper documentation showing the mistake.

The official result document might be wrong (four individual matches W and L got reversed) but team score is correct. It involves several persons. In rating wise, it will not change much. Not sure if I should contact or not.

But for this huge size of tournament, we understand mistakes.

There are a lot of mistakes in the match recording. There should be a repost up coming.

Actually, it is better to email John Miller from NATT with any changes. He is going to re-upload a new match file when he gets all of the mistakes fixed.

Longer story, but in order for us to process results this quickly we are relying on John to fix errors.

Thanks

=======================

What is John Miller's email address?

I reported an error to ethan.figge already.
It is about a player who played 8 tournaments before, but is listed as a new player.
As those records are too old, USATT had problems to find them.

Again:  What is John Miller's email address?

Thank you very much.

I reported an error to John Miller, sent it to info@natabletennis, and he got it and fixed it.

The players are mostly to blame for result errors, imo. I believe the primary source of errors are from sloppy score sheets while careless errors would be second.

There are tiny boxes for the individual game scores. These boxes are a good idea, but it's difficult to make adequate room for 9 individual matches on one side of paper. Large handwriting people over use the allotted space and game scores for a 5 game match may spill over into the next individual match area. Maybe two-sided or legal size paper could be used.

Sweating is an issue. If a player who just completed his match fills out his score, drops of sweat may fall on the score sheet. This causes the ink to bleed on the paper and make soft spots which may tear easily.

Laziness. Players may be lazy or stubborn and don't wish to recall or fill out every game score.

Poor handwriting. Some players literally scribble their names or may use a nick-name which isn't listed on the roster. If two brothers Joe Pong and John Pong play on a team, don't fill out the sheet as if it's your signature. Clearly print the names to distinguish Joe from John. Perhaps the score sheet should have removable sticker name tags for each roster member. Place the stickers to complete A vs X, B vs Y, C vs Z and the remainder by hand. Even if the part by hand is illegible, the identities can be determined by the first 3 matches.

Careless errors. The most common is the game score flip. The score reads 2 games each when it's really 3-1 because the top player won a game that's recorded as the bottom guy winning. Flip that game and it's correct. This occurs at a rate of about 1 in 30 matches. A rarer error is the ambiguous result. One player is circled while the game scores indicate the other player won. This occurs at a rate of about 1 in 65 matches.

The issue for our errors are definitely on us. Two matches finish at the same time. We(players) never verify the individual score accuracy. We only know team W-L score correct. The people who keep scoring doesn't know who's who. Lesson learned: Verify score sheet after the match is finished.

Scores should be double and triple checked. A few people have been insulted when I do this routinely and what do you know I regularly find errors.
