why people are interested in clones while the origin viscaria isn't that more expensive.

A lot of people said that OTC is an clone of VIS. To me, it is more of TBS. Harder and faster than Viscaria. ZY 3 is supposed to be identical to OTC except the handle.

Years ago I had 2 Viscarias. Didn't like how they played. Sold them Got the Donic OTC. For me it plays so much better than Viscaria. It's a little faster and better control than Viscaria. I even got the fish scales. So it's a keeper for me Bottom line: don't force yourself to use/like a blade if you don't play well with it |

This is a question I've asked myself before. From my playing experience, TB ALC feels more dwelly and a touch faster than a Viscaria. Viscaria is kinda numb feel. Handle on TB ALC also feels better in my hands. It's weird because the plies makeup are the same, but Im not sure about thickness differences - this always influences characteristics of play. Another variable is the neck/shoulder curvature cut - they are different in these two blades. Again, I prefer the TB ALC neck/shoulder curvature. The TBS plays more similar to Viscaria. Again different handles. But Donic OTC handle, plies, even neck/shoulder is like a mirror of Viscaria, yet it plays a bit faster. Back to Zhou Yu Three, if it looks and quacks like OTC, then I'm interested to hear what others say
