The Barcelona headquarters (CEM Reina Elisenda) are located at:
Duquessa d’Orleans, 29
Barcelona 08034
Phone: 93 280 03 00
You can always can go an play there (better in the afternoon)

As you said, this is recreational.
If you look for something more serious, there are several clubs to join. Here there is a list:

Something in the middle is the "Ping Pong per tothom" programme (Ping pong for everybody). Is an unofficial competition where opens are played every week. You can play regularly and try to improve your ranking, or occasionally according to your agenda. There are 5 levels of players and you play according to your level.
